It's beginning to look a lot like.....

....and another year is drawing to a close....when will be able to safely meet again? Miss you all!

In that vein, here I have a small collection of Millbridge staff photos from years past.

Here's a sample:

Anybody else have old time photos to share? :-)

Hope your Thanksgiving and Chanukah went well and wishing you a merry Christmas and very happy New Year. 2022....hoping for a better future!

November already!

am attending the NJREA virtual convention today.

We are on break at the moment. The meeting part was this morning and we go back at 1 for a pension/benefits update and five comedians! :-)

In other news, I am happy to report that Bruce's next Moorestown Community Orchestra concert will be at 7:30 at the William Allen School in Moorestown on December 3rd. See you there?

And....I just came across this great photo of retired 3rd grade Delran teacher Cory Goss with her husband and three grandchildren (on Facebook).

Looking good, Cory!

I really do hope that we can get together in person for a DEAR lunch again one of these days!

Memories of Friends and Days Gone By

I came across a file on my computer called DEApix and going through them blew me away. What a treasure trove of memories! I put them in a google share album. There are a lot of them. I'll bet you see people you recognize!

Here's a link to the album- https://photos.app.goo.gl/rnNzRqNL11eg1ceFA

The new school year has started and masked in-person is the order of the day. Fingers crossed that all will be well (although the uptick in covid cases is happening). I look forward to a time we can get together for lunch again.

Meanwhile, I have been happy to see some of our friends in person.

Remembering Maxine

 May she rest in peace.

Unexpected and very sad news. Our condolences to her family.

It's been a while since we have all been together. I hope all of you are doing the best you can in this trying time.

Take care and be well until we meet again.

Remembering Joan Iversen

Tomorrow is July already. Covid restrictions are easing up somewhat and many of us have been vaccinated.

There wasn't a retirement brunch this year, but this photo turned up in my facebook memories today.

Joan was a moving force in gathering retirees' contact information so we could start up our DEAR lunch group. We miss her.

RIP Carol, Ed, and Jean

We haven't met together in a long time and I hope that we will be able to meet again soon.

Sadly, I heard from Rosina that our longtime colleague, friend, and regular lunch group attendee, Jean Zensen, passed away a few days ago.

Her obituary and services information is on the Weber Funeral Home website.

She was a sweet person and dear friend who will be greatly missed, but always remembered.

Two other  Delran colleagues we have lost this month are Carol Shontz, Delran school nurse, and  Ed Hamlet,  teacher and wrestling coach. They both passed away on May 20th.

May they all rest in peace and we certainly offer their families our sincere condolences.

Verna Zelaney, May she rest in peace

Sadly, I have just seen and heard from multiple sources that Verna Zelaney passed away.

Here is her obituary.

She is remembered fondly and with admiration by all who knew her.

Vaccinated?

2020 is over and I hope you are all doing well and have been successful in obtaining the vaccine or at least an appointment to get it.

I didn't realize how long it's been since last we met.

John Kugler wrote to let me know the sad news about the death of  Frank Killino on March 22.  He and his family were quite a memorable part of the Delran community back in the day. I remember him fondly.

Here is his obituary .  Our condolences to his family. May he rest in peace.
