Musical News

I received this news from Bruce Smith:

Our 25th Anniversary Band Concert will be held on Friday, April 8 at 7:30 P.M. at The William Allen Middle School on N. Stanwick Road in Moorestown.  This FREE event is open to the public and a reception will be held in the school cafeteria immediately after the concert is over.

We will be playing some classics - Ravel's Bolero, Copland's Fanfare For The Common Man, Dvorak's Symphony No. 9 (Going Home), some popular music featuring Les Miserables from Broadway,
a Salute to Louis Armstrong, and some of Henry Mancini's famous t.v. and movie music.  You will also hear selections from The Sound of Music and Espana Cani, a Spanish favorite.

Please plan to join us and bring your friends to our special 25 Anniversary Concert and Reception on Friday, April 8.  We hope to see you there.

In the News

Many thanks to Rosina for letting me know I was quoted in a recent Courier post article (Feb.20, 2016).  I feel famous now. :-) (It was about attending the Burlington County Senior Police Academy program.)

I have been missing our group. Sorry I never came up with a February DEAR lunch date. Things have been hopping at HR Block this month.

I have an idea. It is quite last minute-ish and a non-usual day for our group, but if anyone is available and interested in celebrating the once-every-four-years February 29th with a DEAR get together, I'm going to be setting a reservation.

Let me know if you will be able to join us for lunch at Dooney's Pub in Delran at 12:30 on the last day of February-the extra one, Monday, the 29th!

Muriel Genovese

Rosina shared the sad news that former Millbridge fifth grade teacher Muriel Genovese passed away on January 27th.

Her obituary was in the Courier Post.

She was such a caring teacher and a pleasure to work with. I remember her fondly.
